big head, right translation for “pallone gonfiato”, Italian name of the project and also Italian way of saying, literally translated in “inflated balloon”, is a collection of ceramic vases made with slip casting technique.
The liquid clay is poured into a plaster mould, built on a cement mock-up made with a special process: first a balloon is filled with quick drying cement and then it’s punched to achieve its dented shape before it gets hard.
